Fun, emotional, creative and un-posed documentary wedding photography
As your documentary Wedding Photographer, it is my job to capture YOUR day, just as you planned it, and not to hijack your celebrations and force you into endless awkward poses or dated cliches! Reportage, or photojournalism is what my style can also be called, but it basically means, natural, candid and un-posed photography.
I work unobtrusively and I will quietly photograph the day as it unfolds, from the getting ready, to the ceremony to the reception without interrupting the procedures. Every Wedding is unique, so I approach each wedding day with that in mind, I don't have a list of set poses, or must-have shots, but I will work hard to capture every aspect of your day in my own creative, candid style. Your wedding day should be about love, fun and laughter, but not standing around in awkward poses! I absolutely love to capture you and your guests having fun and being yourselves. Having spent the past 12 years working as a professional press photographer, capturing the candid moments is what comes most naturally to me. I won't be taking over your day, shouting at guests and stopping proceedings to take photos, but instead I'll be quietly beetling about photographing things as they happen. Of course, I do take those all important group shots, but keep them to a minimum of 6-8 groups so you can get on with having fun on your special day. I do also take some gorgeous couple portraits, but this always involves me asking to be yourselves together, and to RELAX! We could go for a little walk around the venue, and this is a perfect time for the two of you to have a quiet moment together and to reflect on the day, and enjoy the moment as the new Mr and Mrs! The rest of the day is yours to enjoy!
I really love to form friendships with my couples, I will be with you on your most special of special days after all! I like to get to know you as a couple and I'm not just the girl who turns up with a camera on your Wedding Day, and then disappears again! I am more than happy to offer advice and any tips in the run up to your day, and afterwards if you want me to!
Emotional: Over a decade of working as a Press Photographer has fine-tuned my skills of capturing the moment. I really do get involved in your wedding day so don't be surprised if you see me wipe away a tear during the speeches also!
Creative: Capturing all those killer moves on the dance floor is one of my favourite parts of your day...the photo below was taken during the LAST dance of Iain and Libby's day.
Un-posed: Capturing the day as it happens in my own unique style ensures you have a true record of your special day for years to come
Wow, well done for making it all the way down here and if you like my style, you can check out my portfolio, have a look at my blog, and if you think I'm the photographer you're looking for, you can contact me, I'd love to hear from you!
